Post match analysis

It was a great mid-week, hitting both higher stakes, while losing half on lower stake, but even there Lorient was really really close to overcome the result. All in all, I am satisfied with analysis and with final scores.

Nice - St. Etienne
Prediction: Nice AH -0,5 @2,07

While watching the match, I was just satisfied that I took those odds on Nice, as they are really one level above St. Etienne, even if they came to the match with morale boost after winning on derby against Lyon, they were far from the team who deserved a point on this match. Nice created many chances, Plea missed 3 solid ones, Cyprien almost hit another "screamer", all in all they were a better side, creating more, being in possession much more, Favre changed his back line to 4 as predicted in analysis, so all in all I can say that my analysis was totally correct.

Marseille 2-0 Guingamp
Prediction: Marseille AH -0,75 @1,92

As analysed, Marseille was the team in control of the match. Possession was strongly on their side, and even if first goal of Gomis was in my opinion from offside, I am sure that they would press it harder otherwise and score it sooner or later. They totally deserved this win, they were strong in midfield, stealing lots of balls, not allowing Guingamp to create something serious, and they were also dangerous in attack, so for my point of view, it was a clear and well deserved victory.

Lorient 1-1 Toulouse
Prediction: Lorient AH -0,25 @2,01 half lost

Main problem of Lorient contains to be in defence. In offensive half they are more than solid team, but when it comes to defending, specially defending counter-attacks, they are disaster. Toulouse could end 1st half with 2nd goal but Lecomte saved 1on1 situation with Braithwaite. In second half Lorient was little bit sharper, much better team on the pitch, creating several chances, but ball didn't want to go in the goal for the second time, and match finished with result 1-1. Even if Lorient was really close to win the match at the end, I need to be satisfied with losing only half, because first half could turn out much worse.
