Bordeaux - Lyon

PICK: over 3 goals @2,06 PINNACLE 5/10

Match between 4th and 5th placed team in French Ligue 1 will be played on Matmut-Atlantique in Bordeaux and will start at 20:45 on Friday.

Bordeaux is coming to match after fantastic comeback in Lille, where they were 2-1 down but player in form - Ounas scored two beautiful goals and Bordeaux added another 3 points on the league account. Meanwhile they won also against Lorient in Coupe de France on Tuesday. Being only 4 points behind Lyon is giving them additional motivation to catch Lyon and qualify for Europa league in next season. It's true that Lyon has one match less, but season is still far from over. Today, they will miss Poundje, Toure and Sabaly while Rolan is coming back to the squad. Their main force is attack and regarding their bad defence and the team against who they are playing, they will need to score goals if they will want to win. In last year match on MA finished with result 3-1.

Lyon is coming to match after another great performance. They've beaten Metz with 5-0 and complete their crazy 10 days, scoring 20 goals on 4 matches. With conceding 4 of them, they have shown that they like to play with mind of attack, to score more than concede and even if coach Genesio was talking that team will need to improve in defensive approach, that midfielders will need to help more when it comes to defending, I think that it will be hard to drastically change something against offensive team like Bordeaux is. There is no injury worries in Lyon and it looks that their new style of trainings (expanded time for prevention). Ghezzal and Rybus stayed out of the squad for the match.

Even though Genesio is talking about needs to improve defensive part of the team, Thursdays training where main focus was on offensive phases and finishing perfectly shows what do they think about the todays match. If Lyon would have same results away from home, they would be title contenders. But with last win on 18th of December against Monaco (yes, Monaco) where they won 1-3, they lost in Caen, Saint-Etienne and Guingamp. If they will want to fix things today, then they will need to show hell of performance as Bordeaux is flying high lately. I think that we could see goal fest on Mamut-Atlantique today, as both teams main force is in attack, while on the other hand defence is somehow in second plan for both of them.

FT: 1-1
