Guingamp - Bastia

PICK: Guingamp @1,77 SBO 4/10

In 29th round of French Ligue 1, 11th placed Guingamp will host 19th Bastia on Stade du Roudourou on Saturdays evening.

Briand scored late goal against Montpellier, which brought Guingamp a point, but today their eager will be different. I believe that they were satisfied with point from Montpellier, but against Bastia their goal are three points which will keep them in battle for top10. Their start of season was fantastic, they were even in top 3 for a while, then finished first part of season on 5th place but right now, they are falling and I believe that they won't fall too far from 10th place. Koumbare knows that team is not bad, they have condifence, and they know that their side has more quality than opponents. They will miss Privat, Sankoh, Benezet and Leveque, but Marcal is finally fit, Coco looks fine on the wing and attacking line with Salibur, Briand and him will be strong again.

Bastia is in dangrous position. Their football is far from beautiful, they are saving some points at home, where pitch conditions are almost disastrous, behaviour of some of their players is disastrous as well, and I am probably not the only one, who would be happy to see this team relegated. This time, they will miss suspended Saint-Ruf, Cahuzac and Djiku. Marange is doubtful, while Crivelli, Diallo are out injured as well as Squillaci, who is away for longer period. Rui Almeida, who has 2 points on his account since arriving, will probably try again with Raspertino in the middle of attack. Almeida won point by point on first two matches, but both were home matches. Against Nantes they were poor, with player less, but managed to score twice, pretty lucky goals, while also having a lot of luck in defence (+ weather and pitch conditions were in their favour). Nantes came back to 2-2 and even missed a penalty... in last match they played goalless draw against St. Etienne, who played without almost all main offensive players.

This time, Bastia is coming to Guingamp, who is not in that beautiful position anymore - 18 place is only 8 points behind. They have good coach, some experienced, quality players and as they allowed some surprises as losing against Caen at home, I believe that they won't let Bastia to get anything here. On the other hand Bastia has really poor away record: last 5 matches - 5 defeats, with goal difference 2-17 and in my opinion they will just extend it.

FT: 5-0
