My point of view on Champions league (II. part)

Monaco - Borussia Dortmund

As said on last week, Monaco to qualify at 2,50 were best choice in this pair. I stayed away from market on last week, and I will do the same in this week, even though odds on Monaco are above 3,00 right now and there is value for sure. Unfortunately Jardim will be without Fabinho this time, which means that picture will be approx. the same like on last week, as only one from central midfield pair will be able to participate in the match. With Reus back in the squad, BVB will be even stronger in offensive, but question is how can they defend themselves against the top scoring team in the Europe. Goal line is set on 3,5, which tells us a lot. Is there a value to go on over? I don't think so. It's a second match, and it's true that German defence is simply too poor, and they need to attack, but we all saw what Monaco did against Manchester City in first half. Again, Monaco had Sidibe, Bakayoko, Fabinho and Mendy against City, while they were without 3 of those 4 players on first match.

Jardim played with pretty strong lineup against Dijon, but they managed to turn around the match after Falcao came in. With his two amazing free kicks, Monaco won important 3 points and continue to be on first place.

Monaco will miss suspended Fabinho and injured Sidibe, Boschilla and Carillo.

Tuchel played with pretty strong squad as well. They won against Frankfurth and good news are that Reus needed only 3 minutes to score his first goal after injury. Pulišić played great match again, and it will be interesting to see the first lineup of BVB this time. Dembele came in instead of Reus in half-time and assisted for last goal of Auba, who played whole 90 minutes.

Borussia will miss injured Bartra, Gotze, Schurrle and Rode.

Barcelona - Juventus

Can they do it? They succeeded against PSG, but with some delicate referee decisions. My opinion is that PSG came on Nou Camp too afraid, and they were simply not on the level. They were poor, not capable to connect 5 passes, and Barcelona was all over the pitch. In offensive, PSG is far from bad team and we could compare them with Juventus, but when it comes to defence, Juventus is almost the synonym of defence. Probably one of the strongest, most disciplined, experienced defences in the world and Juventus simply know how to play against team who is dominating. Their attackers, especially Dybala are in amazing form and with poor defensive form of Barcelona, it is simply hard to expect miracles. It's true that with Busquets, their midfield will be much stronger than in first match. Messi will be able to operate much higher then in Torino, but Barcelona will need much more than just amazing performance of Messi to succeed with "remuntada" against Juventus. Will we see Mathieu in first eleven again? I simply cannot understand some decisions of Enrique and I think that with all the problems with leaderboard, Barcelona will face some troubles in future.

Barcelona won against Real Sociedad in last league match, but man of the match was who else than Lionel Messi, with two goals and assist. Umtiti scored an own goal, but was still the best defender of Barcelona on the match. Of course Enrique didn't rest anyone. Iniesta stayed on the bench as many times in the league this season, while Neymar didn't play because he is suspended. All other key players played whole match.

Barcelona will miss injured Vidal and Rafinha.

Juventus won 0-2 in Pescara. Allegri rested Chiellini, Alex Sandro and Dani Alves, while Pjanic played only first half and Dybala only 54 minutes.

Juventus will miss only Pjaca.
