Rennes - Monaco

PICK: Monaco AH -0,5 @2,12 3/10

Rhoazon Park will host an interesting match between home side Rennes who's currently on 9th place with 50 points and the new French champions Monaco who have an amazing season with a 104 scored goals and 92 points in 37 matches.

It will be a special match for French international goalkeeper Costil, who will change his club colors in summer after six years of playing for Rennes. Club decided to give him an armband for the match. Another farewell will be for Armand, who will retire after this season. As I said in last analysis on Rennes against Caen, they have sold two important players in winter transfer window (N'tep, Grosicki), so their creation was mainly in "hands" of coaches son Yoann Gourcuff, who is skipping to many matches due to several injuries. He won't participate in this match because of sickness, so creation of Rennes won't be on as high level as it could be. With 50 points, they have chances to jump higher, as 7th Nantes has 51 points, but on the other hand, it won't be a bad season for them, if they will finish where they are. On the other hand, Guingamp is 3 points behind and has also 3 goals worse goal difference.

Monaco is the new champion of France. As Falcao said, no one believed in them, no one believed in him neither, but he had a spectacular season with 21 goals in 29 matches. The player about who everyone is talking about right now isn't Radamel but Mbappe. All top clubs are fighting to steal him from Monaco in summer transfer window, but for now, I am sure that youngster will give everything to prove his potential also in the last match of the season. As mentioned, they've scored 104 goals in Ligue 1 and they have one more match, so they can put the scale even higher. Vice president of Monaco Vasiliyev said, that he knows that it will be hard to keep all the players as well as the manager in the team, but they will do everything to keep them.

I was surprised to see Monaco on odds above the even. For a team, crushing almost all the opponents in the league, against a mid-table team, who have 42 points less then them, I think that bookmakers are wrong. Even if they are already the champions, I don't believe that Jardim will send youngsters on the pitch, as it is a normal league match. Some of them will play the last match for Monaco as there is a lot of rumours about almost all the first eleven (Mbappe, Falcao, Bernardo Silva, Lemar, Bakayoko, Fabinho, Mendy, Sidibe...), but even if we'll see a little bit mixed squad, I think that Monaco still have a decent chances to win the match.

FT: 2-3
